Artist guide
Write a brief creators can work with.
A useful music brief makes the required work clear while leaving room for the creator’s own style. Use this checklist before agreeing to a TikTok video booking.
Current availability
Popriva is in invitation-only early access. New paid bookings are not yet available.
Joining the launch list does not create an account or guarantee access, paid work, or a launch date.
Existing invited members can sign in. Existing purchases retain their recorded terms and support routes.
Start with the song and permission
Identify the artist, song title, intended TikTok sound link, and the section of the song you want used. Explain why that section matters: a lyric, transition, mood, or musical moment gives the creator more direction than “make it viral.”
Confirm that you can commission the paid promotion and have the necessary permissions for the recording, composition, artwork, and other supplied material. A public sound link or distributor upload alone does not prove commercial-use clearance. Share relevant territory or usage restrictions before anyone accepts.
Read music rights and paid-promotion guidanceChoose the creator and define one deliverable
Look at the creator’s actual work, language, format, and tone. Explain why their approach fits your song. Give a clear creative starting point, then separate required elements from optional inspiration. Avoid asking a creator to copy another person’s video or present an opinion they do not hold.
Specify the selected TikTok account, one original video, required sound, any minimum duration, caption requirements, and the agreed public posting period. Name any prohibited content or claims. The brief should let both sides identify a conforming video without guessing.
Record timing, review, and corrections
Review the offer’s response, submission, artist-review, and correction deadlines before committing. Use the recorded booking terms for the actual schedule. Include the revision allowance and what an in-scope correction means, such as fixing a missing required caption or replacing the wrong sound.
A new song, extra video, or changed creative direction is additional work. Keep requests within the accepted brief and remaining allowance, and use the booking support route when the parties disagree about whether work meets the terms.
Include disclosure and separate reuse rights
Require honest promotion and the paid-relationship disclosures applicable to the post, including TikTok’s branded-content tools where required. Do not ask the creator to hide compensation or fabricate personal experience, engagement, or results.
The standard booking covers creator posting. Reposting, editing, paid advertising, Spark Ads authorization, whitelisting, exclusivity, off-platform reuse, and ownership transfer require a separate express agreement. If you need additional rights, discuss the permitted use, territory, duration, edits, music clearance, and compensation before agreeing.
Review marketplace responsibilitiesA hypothetical brief you can adapt
This fictional example illustrates scope; it is not a Popriva campaign result or an offer.
“Song: [artist and title]. Sound: [TikTok link], using the chorus section identified here. We are authorized to commission this promotion and will supply the relevant music-use restrictions. We chose your account for its everyday storytelling style. Create one original TikTok about a small moment of starting over, using your own approach. Include the song credit and required paid-promotion disclosure. Avoid health claims and third-party footage without permission. Confirm the deadline, public posting period, and included correction allowance in the offer. This brief covers your posting only; any reuse requires a separate agreement.”
Measure the work against the agreement
Check that the correct account posted the agreed video, used the sound, included required disclosures, and met the accepted brief. Keep the submitted link and feedback with the booking. Treat views, streams, and audience growth as observations rather than promised deliverables: Popriva does not guarantee those results.
Before paying, review the selected account price, exact quote, and applicable terms. Before accepting, creators should review the work, commission, and net earnings.
