Copyright and rights complaints

A public reporting route for rights holders and a fair process for people whose material is reported.

For Rights holders, authorized representatives, artists and creators

Early-access version · 2026-10-22-legal-1

Prepared October 22, 2026. This early-access version applies to new activity when it is presented and accepted where agreement is required. Earlier bookings keep their recorded terms. The availability of these pages does not enable payments or other provider features. A conditional agreement requires its applicable scope and schedules to be completed separately.

Contact us without an account

Popriva is operated by Lost Hills LLC, doing business as Popriva. Send rights concerns to [email protected] with the subject 'Rights complaint'; written correspondence may be sent to 1480 Colorado Blvd, Ste 200A #209, Los Angeles, CA 90041, United States. Identify whether the concern involves copyright, trademark, name or likeness, privacy or another right. You do not need a Popriva account, a booking or a marketing subscription to report a concern.

This general channel accepts reports even where a statutory copyright procedure does not apply. It is not identified as a registered US DMCA agent. No registered-agent status or US statutory safe-harbor eligibility is represented by this page. If a designated-agent program is established, its verified contact details will be published here.

02

What to include

  • Your name, a reliable reply address and, if representing another person, the identity of the rights holder and your authority to act.
  • The song, sound recording, composition, artwork, video, image, name or other material concerned, together with enough information to identify your claimed rights. Explain which rights or territories you control; being a recording artist does not necessarily establish ownership of every composition or recording right.
  • The exact Popriva page, booking reference, uploaded image or other location you want reviewed. Include the related TikTok URL if relevant and distinguish material hosted by Popriva from material hosted elsewhere.
  • A clear explanation of the alleged unauthorized use, why you believe you can object, and relevant supporting information. Consider any permission, license, legal exception or ownership dispute before making a claim.
  • The action requested, a physical or electronic signature, and confirmation that the facts you supply are accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not include unnecessary identity documents, bank details or unrelated private records.

03

How reports are assessed

We may request clarification, compare the report with the submitted material and recorded permissions, restrict access while investigating, or take action under /acceptable-use. We consider the apparent rights issue and the risk of continued availability; receiving a complaint does not determine legal ownership. Popriva cannot conclusively decide a disputed music-rights chain or replace a court.

Where lawful and appropriate, we notify the affected account and explain the material, concern, action and available response. We may share relevant allegations and supporting information so the account can respond. We minimize unrelated personal information, but cannot promise anonymity or absolute confidentiality; legal process may require disclosure. Tell us if disclosure could expose you to a safety risk.

Records are handled under /privacy and the applicable retention and legal-hold rules. Restrictions may be narrowed, maintained or lifted when justified by the evidence and law. A complaint's withdrawal does not require restoration if a separate safety, legal or policy ground remains.

04

Responding to a report and repeated misuse

If your material is restricted, reply through the case or [email protected] with the decision reference, the affected material and your explanation. Supply relevant permission, ownership information or evidence of mistake. Do not repost restricted material through a new account to avoid review. A general appeal is not automatically a statutory counter-notice.

We may restrict or terminate accounts in appropriate circumstances for repeated infringement, serious violations or deliberate evasion, considering reliable evidence, corrections and successful challenges. Do not knowingly submit false rights allegations or false responses to suppress competition or retaliate. Applicable law may impose consequences for materially false statutory notices; this policy does not invent an automatic fine or penalty.

05

Conditional US copyright notice procedure

If a removal is handled under 17 USC 512, a copyright notice should include a signature, identification of the protected work and challenged material, sufficient location and contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized by the owner, agent or law, and a statement of accuracy and authority under penalty of perjury. Direct statutory notices to the verified designated agent once those details are published. General reports remain available through the contact above.

Only where the relevant Section 512 process applies, a subscriber challenging removal for mistake or misidentification may send the designated agent a signed counter-notice identifying the removed material and former location, with a good-faith statement under penalty of perjury, name, address and telephone number. It must include the required consent to the relevant US federal court's jurisdiction and acceptance of service from the claimant or agent; for a non-US address the jurisdiction statement concerns a district where the provider may be found. Obtain advice before making these legal statements.

The statutory process involves forwarding the counter-notice, including required personal details, to the claimant. Where applicable, the restoration window is 10 to 14 business days after receiving a compliant counter-notice unless the agent receives notice of a qualifying court action. Separate valid grounds may still prevent access. This conditional explanation does not claim registered-agent status, eligibility for safe-harbor protection or an unconditional reinstatement promise.

06

External posts, safety and money

Popriva can act on material or access within its control. Report a TikTok-hosted post to TikTok as well; Popriva cannot promise its deletion from another platform or from every copy on the internet. Music promotion permission is not proof of every license or of TikTok authorization.

Use the intimate-image and safety reporting instructions in /acceptable-use for nonconsensual imagery, impersonation threats or exploitation. Those reports are separate from copyright and do not require the depicted person to own the image. Never use copyright counter-notices to bypass a safety restriction.

A rights restriction does not by itself decide a booking refund, commission adjustment or reversal of released earnings. Report the related booking so the applicable artist, creator, marketplace and refund rules can be applied to its evidence. Mandatory statutory and court rights remain available.
